This type of entry designs are Stringer-Class pallets that uses a frame of three parallel pieces of timber(called stringers) without stringer notches. They can be entered and lifted by forklift and pallet jack from ONLY the two ends, thus the term 2-Way entry pallet.

4-WAY ENTRY PALLET

This type of entry design can be either Block-Class or Stringer-Class Pallets. Block-Class 4 Way Entry pallets would have blocks/posts between the top and bottom deck giving a large openings. Whereas Stringer-Class 4 Way Entry pallets would have stringers with notches. In turn, this allows the forklift and pallet jack to enter from all 4 different ends, thus the term 4 way entry.
